AMUSU 2010-11: Abu Affan Farooquee Union, Cabinet and Court

The AMU Students’ Union for 2010-11 was elected on 19 January 2011, with Abu Affan Farooquee as President, Syed Umer Ahmad Qadri as Vice-President and Aamir Qutub as Honorary Secretary. Seven candidates contested each of the three top posts.

It was the first AMUSU election in almost four years. The union had been dissolved after violence on campus in about 2007, and students held a sit-in outside the Vice-Chancellor’s residence from October 2010 until polls were agreed in December. Earlier presidents are in the full list of AMUSU presidents.
