Clubhouse app a new social media networking site has evolved into the major talk of the town. This is a live audio chat-based app. It is like listening to the talk of the people and that though not in a creepy way. The main reason and the idea behind starting this app were to use it for the company itself so that the employees can communicate a lot more effortlessly and effectively.
However, with the amount of popularity the app is winning the founders decided to launch it for public use.
For instant, this app is like a phone conference where a lot of people can come jointly in a group to communicate as well as to share their thoughts. To ensure safety and privacy the audio call cannot be recorded, transcribed, reproduced, or shared without explicit permission.
However, there is still a lot of criticism about the privacy of the app. Countries such as Oman, Jordan, and China have thwarted access to the app or completely banned the use of the app. While on the other hand, the other social media giants have initiated the process of building a new app to survive in the competition of the Club House.
Club House is a social networking app based on audio chat. The user can listen to the conversation, interviews, and discussion between the interesting people on various topics. It is an invite-only app which means that you can join any chats only if you have invited to do so.
Like any other app the user needs to download it for the play store and create an account where you will be further asked about you interest such as books, entertainment, finance, etc. According to your interest, the proposal for joining the calls will be given to you. The conversation room is just like a conference call where one or two people speak and most of the others just listen.
In the beginning, the app had only 1,500 users and was worth 100 million dollars. But this app came to be the talk of the town when the billionaire Elon Musk hosted an audio chat on the app with Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev.
This event was then streamed on YouTube which created havoc among the people about the Club House app. This helped out the Club House app to the top of the start-up charts and sparked a scramble for invitations. As for 1st February 2021, the Clubhouse app has 2 million users and the founders are looking forward to adding a lot more features to the app.
A lot of funds have been raised for this app and Club House is valued at 1 billion dollars and is considers as the Unicorn start-up.
The demand for the membership of this app is so high that the market for them has been grown on other platforms such as Reddit, eBay, and Craigslist.
Elon Musk’s appeal for Club House during the chat show has proven to be very profitable for the owners. The ability of the app to disable notifications so that people can focus on one topic at a time is said to be amazing.
