Reasons Why People Love Their Jobs And You Should Too

Having their dream job remains still a dream to many. Some dream about just having a job that pays well, while others thrive to do what they love and fight until they succeed. Loving one’s job is the first step in climbing the ladder of success.

If it falls to be your lot to be a street sweeper, go out and sweep streets like Michelangelo painted pictures. Sweep streets like Handel and Beethoven composed music. Sweep streets like Shakespeare wrote poetry. Sweep street so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will have to pause and say, here lived a great sweet sweeper who swept his job well. ~ Dr. Martin Luther King Jr

There are innumerable reasons why people love their jobs that change from individual to individual.

Stepping stones.

The most common reason a person loves his/her job is that they consider it a small step in achieving their big dreams and making them their reality. Whether it’s your first job, your second, or your third, all of these are just small baby steps that you take to reach what destiny and you collectively desire for your life.

Work allows innovation.

Many individuals aim to do something different, something out of the box, something that has never been done before. Whether they succeed at it largely depends on whether their job allows innovation. And if it does, who’s not going to love working.

Not all people can have a job that they dreamed of. The reasons may be varied. But still, they love their job because if you love what you do, you’ll never get tired of it. Doing what you love and loving what you do are both happy mantras separated by a fragile line.

Passion can still be followed.

Who says you can’t follow your passion and have to do a job that pays you decent money. Even if you cannot get a job you dreamed of, you can still do what you do as a side hobby, as something that makes you feel good about yourself.

Don’t you love your job? Here’s why you should.

Many people can be seen procrastinating about how their work is so challenging, how their friends have “better” jobs, and so on. Dalai Lama didn’t lie when he said that the grass is always greener on the other side. Start loving your job and see how motivated you feel in the morning when you go to work. Maybe you didn’t get the job you planned for because God prepared something even better for you.

If asked, why I love my job, I can give plenty of reasons. I can convey my thoughts and opinions to a wide range of audiences while learning about their views. There’s no judging, just a simple exchange of positive ideas that can make people get better at what they do. Just a small “good work” from my mentors is enough to make my day and isn’t happiness the ultimate goal of life. I can say that I can pursue that goal of life by being able to write.
