Some 528 students from AMU, its schools and around 16 other schools in Aligarh took part in this year’s Seerat competitions, and about 80 of them went home with prizes when the week-long celebrations closed at Strachey Hall.
The Seerat Committee of the university organised the week. Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mohd Mohsin Khan chaired the closing session.
“Adopt at least one Sunnah”
Prof. Khan’s request to students was a practical one: pick at least one Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and make it part of daily life. He also reminded them to send blessings on the Prophet whenever his name is mentioned.
