Sir Syed Day was on 17 October, but the campus is not done marking it yet. On 22 October the Women’s College Cultural Club gave its day to Sir Syed with a quiz, Bait Bazi, calligraphy and a stall where students wrote letters addressed to the founder. The NSS, meanwhile, ran its own quiz on Sir Syed and the Aligarh Movement.
Women’s College: a quiz with “Sir Syed” on stage
The Women’s College Cultural Club (WCCC) organised the programme. Principal Prof. Shagufta Imtiaz told students that cultural activity should sit alongside academic work for an all-round education.

NSS Programme Officer Dr Abdul Jabbar welcomed the gathering. The event was held under NSS Coordinator Dr Mohd Mohsin Khan and Programme Officers Dr Abdul Jabbar and Dr Mohd Uzair. Student volunteers Garv Upadhyay, Areesha Ashraf, Subhana Rihan and Mohammad Shakeel ran the show, and Naim Sir gave the vote of thanks.
