Other staff named in the report, including Assistant Registrar Mohammad Siraj Ahmad Qadri and Section Officer Ataullah Khan, said the allegations later spread on social media and in some news outlets. They have asked police to preserve posts, screenshots and digital records, and to find out who shared internal information.

Police action

Circle Officer Sarvam Singh said the case was handed to the cyber cell after it was registered. Investigators are tracing the digital trail of the email account, and several people are being questioned.

No one has been charged. We will update this report as the investigation progresses.
