What students heard
Prof. Shah Alam spoke about how heavy mobile phone use and overthinking affect mental health. The session also stressed healthy daily habits and the value of listening to people’s own experiences of mental health. Dr Fahad presented Prof. Shah Alam with a certificate of appreciation for his work on mental health awareness.
Need help?
Students who are struggling can speak to a teacher, their hall provost or a counsellor. The national Tele-MANAS helpline, 14416, offers free mental health support in several languages.
