Candidates provisionally selected for AMU’s Unani postgraduate courses, Mahire Tib and Mahire Jarahat, under the All India Quota for 2026-27 must first register on the counselling portal, counselling.amuonline.ac.in, and upload their documents. After that, they have to report in person at the Dean’s Office, Faculty of Unani Medicine, AMU, on the date and time notified by AYUSH, and pay an admission fee of Rs 16,100 online.
The instructions were issued by the Office of the Controller of Examinations, AMU, on 7 November 2026. Admission is based on AIAPGET 2026, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
Step by step: how to complete admission
- Go to counselling.amuonline.ac.in and create your online counselling account.
- At registration, enter only the numeric part of your AIAPGET roll number and application number, without the prefix and without leading zeros. The notice gives this example: if the roll number is UK01010152, enter 1010152.
- Log in and upload coloured scans of the documents listed below.
- Report in person at the Dean’s Office, Faculty of Unani Medicine, AMU, with all originals, on the date and time notified by AYUSH.
- Pay the admission fee online using your login.
Read the counselling manual on the portal before you start. The notice says the full process may take 2 to 3 days, so plan your stay in Aligarh accordingly.

Documents to upload
- Recent front-facing colour photo with white background, and signature
- Class 10 certificate showing date of birth
- Date of birth certificate, if the Class 10 certificate does not show it
- Marks sheets or grade sheets of BUMS, first to final year
- AIAPGET 2026 admit card issued by NTA
- Provisional allotment letter issued by AYUSH
- AIAPGET 2026 result or rank letter issued by NTA
- Proof of identity: Aadhaar, PAN, driving licence or passport
Extra documents at physical reporting
- Transfer or migration certificate and character certificate from the last institution (not needed if you are already enrolled at AMU). If these are not ready, you may give an undertaking to submit them within a month of admission.
- Name removal certificate, if you are currently enrolled in any full-time course elsewhere
- Undertaking to the Vice-Chancellor on plain paper about compulsory attendance
- Two anti-ragging affidavits on plain paper, one from the candidate and one from a parent or guardian. Sample formats are on the Controller of Examinations website.
