10 AMU students selected for Sub Junior Girls State Hockey Tournament -2019

Girls of Aligarh Muslim University were focused to make it big in the field hockey and today they brought proud moment for the university as 10 girls from ABK High School were selected to represent Sub Junior Girls State Hockey Tournament 2019-20, one girl is going to represent Women’s Hockey team in the senior category. Junior Category students will represent Aligarh District at the school state level to be held at Gorakhpur, from 21st to 26th October.

 With the prime purpose of providing quality education, the university also focuses on the holistic development of students of both genders. AMU has a lethal combination of academic and sports infrastructure. The new Astroturf hockey field has helped the coaches and sports officials to cultivate women’s field hockey.

The Assistant Director, DSE, Dr Anwar Shahzad, Principal Dr M A Niazi, Vice Principal Dr Saba Hasan and Games teacher Md Imran credited the success to collective team efforts of the administration and hard work with passion of the students.
